Management Committee
KALP
has a volunteer Management Committee which meets monthly. We are always happy
to meet people who may be interested in getting involved. Our Annual General Meeting is held in August each year.
President - Jane Geltch
 Jane
is one of our co-founders and inaugural Service Manager. Her son is a
KALP participant and she works as a policy officer with National Disability
Services (NDS) Qld, . Jane has been
instrumental in KALP's development as an innovative and family focused service,
and is passionate about and committed to our values. An inaugural Queensland Leadership program graduate, Jane has a great ability to mobilise
people with her passion and great sense of fun. She loves books, ideas and
community work.
Vice President - Helen Roberts
 Helen,
another of the founders of KALP, has been with the Management Committee
since
the beginning. Her daughter attends KALP and her whole family are very active
supporters.
Helen helps out with volunteer admin support at KALP and is a quiet
achiever willing to do whatever it takes to make and keep KALP a great service.
Acting Treasurer - Don Wade
 Don is another of the co-founders of KALP and has been a committed and generous supporter and volunteer ever since.
Don's experience in government agencies and as a parent of a person with a disability
adds real value to our committee. His son attends KALP.
Don is Participant Representative and currently acting in the Treasurer's role.
Volunteer Representative - Trudi Hall
 Trudi was one of KALP's first staff members,
coming to us from a long career and personal interest in disability services.
Trudi joined the Management Committee
when she made a career change and is invaluable for her experience and her compassionate,
calm and considered approach to the governance of our service.
Parent Representative - Jim
McLaughlin
 Jim has a long history of community involvement in
regional Queensland, and though
he has retired from paid work, brings his many
years of small business experience, his amazing energy and his commitment to
community to our committee.
He is a parent of a KALP participant.
Parent Representative - Larraine
McLaughlin
 Larraine is also an experienced small business
person and a passionate and dedicated community volunteer.
She is tireless and
can always be depended on to show up and pitch in, no matter what the occasion.
Laraine is a parent of a KALP participant.
Honorary Secretary - Louise Klein
Louise is our Business Services Officer. She is a non-voting member and acts as Secretary to the Management Committee.
